Les Paul and Mary Ford were a popular 1950s husband-and-wife/group musical team in which Les Paul played the guitar and Mary Ford sang. In 1951 alone, they sold six million records.
The couple were introduced to each other by Gene Autry in 1946 and were married in 1949.
They first appeared in the pop charts in 1950. Between the years 1950 and 1954, Les Paul and Mary Ford had 16 top-ten hits. They had five top-ten hits within nine months. "Tennessee Waltz", "Mockin' Bird Hill", "How High the Moon" (#1 for nine weeks), "The World Is Waiting for the Sunrise" and "Whispering". From August 1952 to March 1953 they had five more top-ten hits; "My Baby's Coming Home", "Lady of Spain", "Bye Bye Blues", "I'm Sitting on Top of the World" and "Vaya Con Dios" (#1 for 11 weeks). In 2009, they were inducted into the Hit Parade Hall of Fame.

The Gibson Les Paul, one of the world's most popular electric guitars, was inspired by Paul’s “Log”.
Paul's innovative guitar, "The Log", built after-hours in the Epiphone guitar factory in 1940, a 4" × 4" chunk of pine with strings and a pickup, was one of the first solid-body electric guitars. Paul Tutmarc of Audiovox Manufacturing Co. built a solid body electric bass in 1935 and Adolph Rickenbacker had marketed a solid-body guitar in the 1930s and Paul A. Bigsby had built one for Merle Travis in 1948 and Leo Fender also independently created his own (the Fender "Esquire," a single pickup model) in 1948. Although Paul approached the Gibson Guitar Corporation with his idea of a solid body electric guitar in 1941, they showed no interest until Fender began marketing its Esquire which later had a second pick-up added and became known as the Broadcaster (Renamed Telecaster in 1952).

Я бы назвал этот стиль "Синтетическая Классика". Это не моя музыка, да ещё в духе Шостаковича, которого я не люблю. Поэтому я ничего о Amin Bhatia сказать не могу, хотя этот диск у меня с начала 90-х, только видел в интернете, что он родился в Англии 10 July 1961 London. Поэтому придётся любителям такой музыки самим порыться в интернете в поисках информации.
На внутреннем конверте упоминаются такие музыканты как Patrik Moraz (ex. Moody Blues), Pete Bardens (Camel), Tony Kaye (ex. Yes). Я честгно говоря не понял, что о них написано в описании. То ли они принимали участие в записи, то ли взяты какие-то фрагменты их музыки. Возможно он проводит параллели между этими музыкантами и своей музыкой. Фото вложены в архив. Кто силён в английском - милости просим.
